Lookin’ Good!

Just a quick update … had my PET/CT scan and my CT of my head and … still cancer free! After the scanxiety, I love the fresh feeling after scan results, of knowing I am cancer free and don’t need to worry about it for the next six months! I also had a port flush on Friday, and while in the waiting room, I heard two cancer patients talking about their journeys, and I was literally right in the middle of them; they were saying how awesome and caring the nurses were in the infusion center. I’ve only been in the light infusion center (where everone is wonderful, too!), and since I haven’t had treatment at this hospital yet, I’d always wondered how it would be if I had to go back on treatment. The women said such nice things and had similar experiences as me when I went through chemo in South Carolina — nurses who celebrated and cried when they were done with treatment and nurses who made such an experience as “fun” as possible. I left there thinking that I am in the right place.
